Professor Quinn T Senshell, of Swinburne's Astrophysics and Computational Science lab has discovered a second black hole in a Kool mint. 'Senshell's Kool Mint', as it has become known, was found by Senshell in a Royal Melbourne Show bag back in the days when showbags were given away for free as product samples.![]()
Amazingly, Senshell was able to MacGyver together lego pieces, belly button fluff and two plastic magnifying glasses from Coco Pops packets to make the initial discovery. ![]()

Staff and students alike will have noticed the square holes in the floor of The Atrium pictured below. The square holes are in preparation for a new Uni-lift system. ![]()
The Uni-lifts, first successfully installed at the South Lawn carpark at the University of Melbourne, will allow fourth year students easy, convenient, and relatively safe access to The Atrium from the new student space in the BA bulding basement.
